How do you build excitement around the iconic sporting event the Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles while encouraging residents to be more active? The City of Antwerp wanted to use the lead-up to the event to inspire as many people as possible to get moving in an accessible and engaging way.
Together with the City of Antwerp, we launched the KeepMoving District Challenge: a digital activity campaign that invited residents to log kilometres for their district over several weeks. Whether walking or running, alone or with others, every kilometre contributed to the race for the title of Antwerp’s most active district. By combining gamification, team spirit and a healthy sense of competition, the challenge motivated participants to stay active while strengthening engagement across all ten districts.
The KeepMoving District Challenge successfully connected digital engagement with participation in the Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles. Beyond encouraging physical activity, it fostered a stronger sense of community and pride within each district, turning movement into a shared goal with a tangible impact. A great example of how cities can use smart activation campaigns to make sport and physical activity more accessible, engaging and socially connecting.
